Caryatid Mounted Chest
An American Classical caryatid mounted chest of drawers. New York or Philadelphia, (Lannuier or Barry) depending on two schools of thought on design and construction, circa 1815. Two over three bowed drawers with wonderful alternating veneer patterns. Virtually untouched, all original (one pull missing). A rare, outstanding and visually beautiful piece.
As with all of our furniture, in ‘as found’ condition.
Very nice overall condition.
