Brass Inlaid Card Table

Fine Federal Mahogany and Birdseye Maple Brass Inlaid card table, 1815-1819, attributed to Charles-Honore Lannuier. The most sophisticated of its type in detail and form with very fine carving and utilizing expanses of Birdseye maple and brass string inlay characteristic of Lannuier’s finer work. A labeled Lannuier table of the same form and size but of lesser quality is found as Figure 88, pg 155, Honore Lannuier, Cabinetmaker From Paris, Peter Kenny, 1998.
