Philadelphia Secretary

A Fine Classical stenciled and carved mahogany secretary bookcase, Philadelphia, circa 1829, strongly attributable to Anthony G. Quervelle. 

Related examples in Philadelphia Empire Furniture, 2006 (figures 280,281,282). Foliate carved cornice, brass mounted columns, curly maple interior, incredible stenciling, arched bolection molding on fall front and drawer, carved legs, paneled back, wonderful details throughout. 

As with all of our furniture, in ‘as found’ condition. 
Very nice overall condition.
